The player arranges two stacks of five face down cards each for himself and an opponent. Then he must lays one card face up on each face down card. The remaining cards are shared between players.
The lead belongs to the opponent. He can call trumps. The gambler plays a card from the hand or a face up card from the table. After a face down card is uncovered, it is turned and becomes available for a game. Other gambler must return partner's lead or trump if he hasn't lead, otherwise he lays out any card. The gambler taking trick does the next lead.
The object of the game is to take a lot of tricks. Each trick above nine adds one pip to the score. The player wins if he takes 9 pips. The gamblers deal out the cards one after another.
